Jun 22, 2017 I don't think Thug is better than Pac, but in 2017 I certainly listen to him a lot more than Pac. They're also extremely different artists.
Jun 22, 2017 pac was never blessed with the creativity, vocal range, or flexibility that thug is blessed with. u could argue that rap is more developed now, and that thug wouldn't exist if 3 stacks and wayne didn't pave the way for him, but thug would be a generational talent in any era. thug has shown more growth from his early projects to his latest than pac did over the span of his career as well, and they probably have similar output as far as tracks go. it's unfortunate that pac's career was cut short, but i think we can all agree that thug hasn't hit his prime yet either. pac's charisma and mic presence will probably forever go unmatched, and it's admirable what he did in terms of community mobilization and out reach, but none of that puts him over the top for me. like pac, young thug is one of a kind. but thug get's the edge in a head to head.
