I think the main reason is how bad MMLP2 was along with Shady 15.

Phenomenal & Kings Never Die flopped badly over 2 years ago too.

This is his chance to "revive" himself from the mountain of criticism he'd been garnering with his diminishing quality of music, but instead he did the exact same s--- again

I think mainly because of how predictable this looked and was again.

Recovery started that format. Then he sprinkled some on MMLP2, then he continued it in 2014, 015.... I think Eminem fans or even casual fans who sometimes listen to Eminem are just sick of hearing that [insert angry Em verses about fame and his status, or love in between pop/poop hook here] s---, over rap rock or pop rock beats.

So when Walk on Water dropped and it was... not that format exactly but still a huge female singer ballad hook for the sake of it, again, I think a lot of people felt like 'here we go again'. Then comes the tracklist and it's just like 'f---ing yawn'.

For once - Em was really predictable.

No matter what he did before, I'm not saying all content was surprising but his presentation always was. Like when he burst back in MMLP2 era with that Berzerk ad and blonde hair... He always found a way where it felt like 'whoah. Wasn't expecting that - wtf is this album gonna sound like??'

It didn't feel like that this time. Because of the above. He went full ham with the pop and core fans I think were like 'f--- this' and more recent fans even maybe younger fans who came in on Recovery were probably like 'really? Again?' It felt predictable and worn out. And it was. I can't believe he was happy to do it.

I don't think the Trump diss had any effect on his sales

He said in a recent interview reival was also suppose to about the revival of our country. Thats why the interlude is right before like home. I think he recorded the album and needed a selling point. Someone suggested trump because he was probably always talking about it. They recorded some trump songs and trumps tweet was suppose to trigger a surprise release for the album. Him not responding botched the release. Maybe him not responding also forced them to change around the tracklist. He said he had songs ready. Songs were probably suppose to be on the album. They took them off so he didn't look stupid and replaced tracks with what we got. This is why silence for 2 weeks. They were figuring out what to release still. Kind of a dumb plan, all depending if President tweets or not.

Because Eminem isn't relevant like that in 2017. He isnt one of the hottest artists in rap right now.

He was so in love with strippers and Kim that he focused on love songs. That's where his heart is at. Affected sales but I like the songs. And I like strippers just like Eminem.

The music is mainly bad so that's the reason

It's funny that you didn't include this option in a survey

You seemed to forget how bad his flow has gotten, and all the pop singers.

Great music. It's actually my favorite album. Not his best work, but my favorite right now music wise.

    I'll add that.

But Since it only leaked a day early word would not have got around yet. Plus Relapse,Encore & MMLp2 all sold well.

You post multiple threads daily about his personal life, I don't think you think rationally about his music

The reason it flopped was because there was too much pop on it for his fans
