What the f--- happened to his voice?

He has lost all the bass and swag he used to have in his voice, he always had that high pitched flow but he didn't use it all the f---ing time.

And don't say it's cuz he's not on lean anymore or any other drug because in real life his voice is still deep as f--- so I just don't get it

really don't mind sftw2 but I only really like about half of it (a lot of it due in prt to his voice, tape obv has quotables for days) and this thugger influence is too strong. honestly hope c5 isn't littered with thugger sound-alike songs throughout.

his charisma and his lyrics always gonna be there, just hope it's executed differently in the future.

you guys are overstating it. if anything, the more i actually listen to the tape the more i feel like he stayed true to his original style while mixing in thugger and the like when he felt like it

hes doing a bit of everything on sftw2

i get what you're saying in this thread, and im sure many people will agree with you, but that doesn't change the quality of the s--- he's putting out now (which is back up to being consistently good again, which in and of itself is a big accomplishment after his past few years).

my advice is stop being nostalgic and just listen to the tape more lol. literally every song outside of 2 are worth multiple plays at the very least

I miss Wayne's deeper voice, Shooter is on of my favorite songs by him, execution wise. Makes him sound very charismatic. When I was waiting for C3, I thought that, naturally, he would mature and most songs would be like that, but the opposite happened.

What's weirder about the Young Thug influence is that Young Thug is influenced by Wayne, lol

lol, this has nothing to do wth nostalgia. it's a matter of what sounds good and what doesn't. Ive already listed all the songs I f--- with and don't on the tape.

definite has several brilliant spots..his punchlines get me every time. that'll never change. but 100% with that voice, nah.. he's been known to use auto tune much better

see then i don't get waht you're complaint is - those track utilize his newer style the most. and they're fire

in general i can see what you're saying/agree with the thought process behind not wanting him to do this for ever track on carter 5, but we know he's not gonna do that.
