Mar 18, 2015 Now, before you dismiss this as a hating thread, I'm a Kendrick fan, GKMC is a great album, but I'm surprised after all these years, no one has brought this up. I finally have enough evidence to say this with full confidence, and I hope you Kendrick fans will actually read through all of this, because I'm not saying anything about his musical quality, and if anything, it might just make you think, and that's all I really want, is for you guys to just think, because I spent a fair bit of time analyzing this and writing it up, and I've honestly come to the conclusion: No matter what you perceive Kendrick's musical quality to be, such as with most of you liking GKMC and disliking the new album, he is a gimmick and has mastered the art of trend-hopping just like Sonny Moore did with emo to dubstep (Skrillex). Do you know what "M.A.A.D" means? It was taken from a song on GKMC, where it stands for "My Angels on Angel Dust", which refers to a time that Kendrick supposedly smoked angel dust (PCP) and decided against drugs. Now... That was all a lie on his part, or a mistake on a bigger lie. He always parades himself around as being a former thug-rapper from Compton who knows all about everything, but he describes smoking PCP as being a blunt laced with cocaine. Weed laced with cocaine is not angel dust. PCP is angel dust. There is not a single time you'd -ever- mistake the two in the f---ing SLIGHTEST from their appearance.

Mar 18, 2015 I wouldn't believe so much of his work as what actually goes on in his life he has said many times that he writes from what he sees around him most of it is fiction. Btw b------s love fiction. LA is known as the city of angels and Kendrick is from Compton a section of LA. The reference in the lyric was that the city was f----- up on drugs it wasn't anything in particular it was just harder drugs in the area. @Yeezy you see if it is My Angels on Angel Dusf which I'm not sure it is exactly but it's something close. Anyways the concept behind kendricks music is more for a story, and stories are not exact
Mar 18, 2015 Or it's regional slang. Lil Herb named himself that because in Chicago "herb" doesn't refer to a lame like it does elsewhere. Drugs especially are known to have lots of aliases which can overlap. It's the reason your parents might refer to weed as "dope" despite that presently being associated with harder drugs like heroin. Regardless OP is butthurt.

Who cares if he exaggerates the truth, he is rapping on behalf of everyone that was in the same place he was or worse, have you even heard TPAB?

First of all, anyone with a brain knows lacing a blunt with powder cocaine is a complete waste, that's why crack was invented. Secondly in the interview Kendrick clearly says someone laced his blunt with angel dust and that's why he dosen't smoke anymore.

All Day has 21 songwriters. 21. 20 motherfucking 1 song writers. almost one for each word he uses in the song & half of the words are just 'n-----'. who has more of a legitimacy problem in the game?

Mar 19, 2015 That's weird that he doesn't know the difference between Angel Dust and Coco Puffs. And I've been around people who smoked Coco Puffs when they thought it was straight weed and they coughed hard and threw up and just couldn't smoke it because the cocaine overpowers the weed. I think you can legit smoke Angel Dust and not realize it because it doesn't have a powerful odor/taste when burnt. Plus, you don't have a trip when you smoke cocaine... You just get super high and lose track of time and feel great. Story is suspect and reminds me of when Hopsin thought lean was alcohol. It's weird that I know more about drugs than famous black rappers.
