if you saw avengers, you might remember Loki vs hulk ... both are monsters of their own...hulk is built to rock your world...Loki is built to rock your mind..both are amazing..both are ground breaking...you would be speechless infront of both of them

but lets stop talking about a movie that has nothing to do with this...back to topic...which album you think is better?

TPAB because I can listen to every second of every song and not hate anything about it. There's a few weak points in GKMC. The production on TPAB is also better imo.

Tpab production is better and I think every second is near perfection.
Gkmc has some of kendrick' best verses

It might be the hype of it still being new to me but I am definitely liking TPAB a lot more than GKMC. It's just a lot more creative to me and the production is flawless IMO

Poetic Justice, Swimming Pools, Compton, Backstreet Freestyle

All great songs (except for Compton), but would easily be the weakest songs on TPAB.

My preference would be: TPAB>S80>GKMC>OD>KLEP

GKMC is a solid 8.5/10. This might be marginally higher when it's all said and done, but both have their faults

Both are also awesome so it's okay.

Would rather listen to TPAB at the moment, but I havent revisted GKMC in a minute. And doing so now would just be weird because of how different the new album is

to me, gkmc and tpab play like two entirely different types of rap albums.

kinda like how I wouldn't really rate drake higher than kendrick and vice versa, two different genres of rap.. it's hard for me to rate either album higher than the other rn

Hulks gay tbh,I think GKMC is better when i listen to GKMC i can listen through the entire album and enjoy every minute of it but when i try listen to TPAB i get bored like half way through,its an amazing album and the songs are great i jus find it less enjoyable to listen to

Albums don't have to be 'perfect' for them to be classics, GKMC is the best example of contemporary Hip Hop, SAM/IDOT was the most mindblowing thing I've ever heard, it was otherworldly. The use of obscure samples like on TAOPP & Money Trees's were incredible and tracks like Maad city made the album feel bigger than life. Kendrick rapping about Compton is edge of your seat storytelling and the cinematic element was executed to perfection.

It's still way too early... Make this thread again in a few months. But after almost a week of listening the s--- out of tpab, I'm enjoying it more than gkmc. But I'll listen to gkmc a few more times over the next couple weeks and maybe that'll change my vote. Gkmc is so great because it paints a picture of a teen growing up in Compton. Tpab is so great because it paints a picture of kendrick battling himself and his demons. Either way kendrick is an amazing artist.

Definitely GKMC. I'd give that a 9.5.

I have to listen to TPAB a couple more times, but I wasn't very impressed.
