Apr 27, 2015 what happened to the foul mouthed, blonde, smart a--- we all loved? I still think he has it in him to release a classic. but Em needs a publicity stunt. Maybe perform The Real Slim Shady (Part 2?) at the MTV VMA's. and release a concept album. Take old recordings and make new songs and do a flashback album. Show where you used to be and where you are now. Call it Still Infinite. And don't be afraid to diss people. Diss Soulja Boy, Diss Chief Keef, Diss Wayne, Diss Nicki, Diss Iggy, Diss politicians. Diss Everyone. Where's that witty blonde we used to know? In all honesty I don't want him to go backwards. Something Old, Something New would be nice. I just want to hear that heart and energy again. And No more screaming/super fast rhymes about nothing. Just because he chooses to rap like that doesn't excuse it for being trash. He should rap slow like he did on SSLP. Just give us music with heart. Songs like Lose Yourself, Rock Bottom, and Drug Ballad. Songs like Guts Over Fear, Fine Line, Beautiful, and Going Through Changes show he still has it in him. He can still draw on emotion and give us songs filled with heart that are raw. I'm not a fan of the poppy production but the lyrics are there. Truthfully if he has grown out of Slim Shady, than just move forward and give us something new. So long as there's some sort of energy or heart there. Something that's driving him. and if he can't find that drive than make an album about a rapper trying to have one last big hit. talk honestly about aging and growing older. If It worked for Hemingway it can work for Slim Shady.
Apr 27, 2015 I actually agree but I dont think he can do it anymore like back then.. It's not only the flow, it's everything.. Even the music is different now
Apr 27, 2015 Hes 42 he isnt going to start dissing everyone for no reason, if someone credible went at him ild expect him to respond. Hes already said he just wants to rap he dont seem to bothered about making concept albums and s--- anymore which is fine to me just keep the lyrics and wordplay going hes an underground rapper at heart anyway. People expect so much because of how big he is and just ignore what he is doing right now and just complain about flows and rapping fast
Apr 27, 2015 Relapse- Poor attempt at a concept album. very nonsensical- Standout: beautiful Recovery- Poppy production. works with artists he would have dissed 10 years earlier- Standout: Going Through Changes MMLP2- To many filler tracks. probably the best he has put out since The Eminem Show. Some poor production. Standouts for me are Legacy, Bad Guy, Headlights, and Rhyme Or Reason Shady XV- If you don't know why or what to rap about than you shouldn't rap. rhyming just for the sake of rhyming without conveying a message or story is boring, pointless and unimpressive no matter how fast you do it. Standout's include Fine Line and Guts Over Fear
Apr 27, 2015 I think the concept on relapse was fine.. Accents kinda ruined it.. It's a compilation, it's just bars and songs for promotion, no album to work on content
Apr 27, 2015 Thats hiphop you dont need to tell a story everytime the album was supposed to be like an underground album wshowing off technical and lyrical ability and it did that Only thing wrong with Relapse was his voice the lyrics are dope for the most part. How many concepts do you want the guy to do you know his whole life
Apr 27, 2015 i agree with the things u want for his next album, but disagree with the trash thing. dope first postt though
Apr 27, 2015 Relapse was SUPPOSED to be the followup/revist to MMLP.. A whole cd of Dr. Dre production almost completely wasted is such a shame since we probably won't ever hear more than a handful of new Dre beats (He's 50, you can forget about Detox or any new album).. At this point I'd take the "Hundreds" of songs scrapped from Relapse 2 (no accent), before I'd take new songs from Eminem.. How many better tracks has he released since 2009 that are better than this record? Serious question @Koolo
Apr 27, 2015 Dont Front Music Box Bad Guy Evil Twin Going Through Changes cba to keep going And Relapse in no way was supposed to be MMLP wtf and that album is so underrated
Apr 27, 2015 Sorry meant to say revisit to SSLP, and that's quoting from an interview I'll try to dig up.. But I didn't make that statement up, he himself said revisit in an interview or two. Not saying that affected how I view/rate the album, just kind of laughable on his part.
Apr 27, 2015 No more going back in time. f--- that. I agree he needs to do some sort of concept album and stick to that concept for the whole album. But please, no more "trying to recapture" what he once was.
Apr 27, 2015 I think he just gets bored so he tries different styles. He could still go back if he wanted. But maybe he doesn't want to because it would remind him of himself on drugs. He did say the blonde hair was erry for him.
Apr 27, 2015 Your right. Showing off is cool but I just prefer songs like Rock Bottom and Marshall Mathers.
