May 20, 2015 lyrically, yes. he is fantastic at what he does in this department. his flow as of late is garbage, plain and simple. he also lacks content at this stage, which is pretty understandable. after so many years of telling your life story, you tend to run out of decent writing material. this is probably why he just makes miracle lyrical raps now. he's proven that he can provide us with gems over time (Deja Vu, Going Through Changes, Seduction, Brainless, Fine Line), but not a whole albums worth unfortunately.
May 21, 2015 You may not think he's the greatest and that's fine, everyone is welcome to their opinion. However, ask the majority of people and most would agree Em is the greatest. One of my friends is a huge Drake fan and he listens to him way more than Em, however he won't deny that skill and talent wise no one matches Em overall. h--- my parents even like listening to him because according to them "he tells a story and doesn't just talk about getting money and cars."
May 21, 2015 This. This is also why I don't listen to the music that plays on the radio. It's filled up with garbage about doing drugs, getting money, riding around in fast cars, and f---ing b------s. It's all the same d--- s--- in every song.
May 21, 2015 Obviously its all opinion based. But its easy to argue it because of his first 3 albums, which we all know are arguably in the top 10 greatest hip hop albums of all time. But the ladder end of his career as been sub par with a few exceptions on each album. If he were to come out with one more classic i think that would make the argument much easier. However, who knows what he is capable at this time in his career.
May 21, 2015 The real reason why he is is because your style is generic. his is authentic made, he rolls like a renegade, you need clinic aid.
May 21, 2015 someone that I can buuuuulllllyyyyyyyyyy-yyyyyyyyyy-yyyyyyyyyy-yyyyyyyyyy-yyyyyyyyyy how tf can anyone not think this dude is the undisputed goat
May 21, 2015 eminem is "one of the greatest" of all time to everyone who overvalues the microcosm of his career where he was undisputedly incredible and/or is blissfuly ignorant of the last 10 or so years of his career
May 21, 2015 but there are just as many songs about personal issues/struggles or raping teen stars/getting molested by your step-dad or whatever else Em raps about.
May 21, 2015 you're completely delusional. please stop listening to rap and ask dell for your job back asap
May 21, 2015 dude do you know how many hip hop albums are in existence. and the top 10 can arguably have THREE from Em? And not even that, you're gonna let 3 great albums from 15 years ago overshadow like at least 5 average to just bad ones (in a row) since then?
May 21, 2015 You're saying there arent 100s of people who rap about issues with their family/personal life? or that there aren't 100s of horrorcore rappers in existence? or do you disagree with the part where em's put out more average-bad projects than good-classic?
May 21, 2015 serious question: what does "lyrically" mean to you this isn't how writing works. you don't have a finite amount of things to touch on.
