Jun 9, 2015 I told her over the phone that I was bisexual. She got pretty mad and started throwing religion into the conversation. Felt like getting it off of my chest and didn't know who else I could confide in. Anybody else been through anything similar?

Jun 9, 2015 I didn't know you were bisexual. Regardless, it doesn't change anything. Congrats tho man! I'm sure it felt great to get off your chest and I'm sure your mom will come around eventually. I haven't gone through anything similar, but my grandpa didn't even go to his granddaughter's wedding because she was marrying a girl... There will always be unaccepting people out there but f--- em.

Jun 9, 2015 Thanks for the support. I wouldn't expect somebody like my grandfather (born in the 30s) to really understand it, but it's just disheartening seeing somebody less removed from my generation not understand. I mean, we both like Prince's music. At least that's something.
