Jun 24, 2015 I feel like TPAB really separated people. What I mean is people who love content, jazz s---, different sounds, etc. love this album. Critics love this album. It's a well put together album. However, a lot of casual listeners have given it negative feedback. One could even say that TPAB alienated a good chunk of his fans. After waiting 2 years, Kendrick puts this out and it isn't at all what fans were hoping for. The mainstream audience praised him way more for his Bad Blood verses than anything on TPAB. So, was it really a W for Kendrick, or will it kick him in the a--- if he continues to go down this artsy route?
Jun 24, 2015 I guess...in 20 years people will still probably remember the name of it, so I guess that's kind of cool.
Jun 24, 2015 Of couse, not only its the highest rated album of the last 15 years, it also has the best users score of the last 5 years on sites such as RYM and other platforms. TPAB is one of these rare albums were the fans agree with critics.
Jun 24, 2015 doesn't matter, the majority always win, like he said, tpab is also the highest rated album on lists based on users ratings
Jun 24, 2015 Of course its a win, people would k--- to have these accolades. Critics loved it, most people loved it (haters will always voice their opinion more though but it is what it s, it didn't separate s---), famous authors and writers been praising it, poets are impressed, respectable musicians praised its composition. biggest W in years
Jun 24, 2015 NME asked their readers to rank their favorite albums and TPAB was ranked as #13 on their all time list. #13 best album of all time according to something like 70 000 readers.
Jun 24, 2015 George Clinton was right, Kdot is getting better with every album. maybe george was right to compare him to Prince and Stevie Wonder
Jun 24, 2015 only people who didnt like it are people who listen to future and meek mill all day, all they want is bangers
Jun 24, 2015 Honestly, I wanted at least a few bangers, lol. Plus, there are people on this site saying "Alright is a real b-----r, f--- All Day". Starting to think the Kenny stans might be worse than the Em stans...at least the Em stans admit when when he's losing his touch.
Jun 24, 2015 losing his touch? tpab is the most acclaimed hip hop album of the last 20 years. There's no reason to say he lost his touch when publications, critics, real fans of music (people who know music, its history and its different genres), writers, authors, GOAT artists and GOAT musicians agree kendrick is getting better. Not only kendrick is being praised as a rapper, but hes also being praised as an artist.
