    You do realize some of these comments are from over a decade ago, right? Also, is it really that surprising that artists are complimenting one of the biggest figures in hip-hop history? I mean do you really think it'd be a smart career move for someone like Schoolboy Q to be like "oh yeah, he was great but now he sucks?"

    But the music he has put out in 2015 has been garbage. Anybody who thinks that it's good needs to listen to more rappers that are making music right now.

    @Enigma Not that it matters but no they are not. A lot of them are reactions to his 'recent' work. Rap god didn't happen 10 years ago. It's obvious that your issue is personal. Personally I believe he has done great work from '09 to today. Obviously not every song is amazing.
    I didn't like Relapse as a whole for example. If your have another opinion, fine but don't exaggerate.

    these statements are mostly just because r-----s always bring him up and prod them with questions about eminem and they don't want to deal with the headache that'd come along with saying "i dont f--- with him" after the interview is released

    Ok, lets pretend they all said these things this year (some are like a decade old).

    What does it actually mean?

    None of them presented any reason why he is good. Literally. Look at those quotes
    "eminem is the best"
    "i cant f---s with Eminem"
    "he's like a scientist"
    "best rapper"
    "best rapper i've heard"
    "hes amazing just listening to him"
    etc etc.

    None of this means s---, you should rename the thread to "Rap Legends compliment Eminem" because that's literally what it is. There's no discussion in any of those quotes as to why he's good. Not only that, but a bunch of washed up rappers do not = hip-hop.

    Please show me where I exaggerated? I said SOME of these statements were from decades ago not all. That Slug quote is from like 2003 I think.

    @ThyNeighbour I don't think it's garbage. He has done two features which are really enjoyed. I didn't care about speedom. Kings never die was average to me. I love Guts over fear and Psychopath killer. Who is saying that I don't ? I listen to a tons of rap and not even just rap, Jazz, soul, it goes on and on. I like good music and I think he's still providing very good stuff in my opinion. I don't listen just for the sake of it, like I said I hated Relapse.

    No he is not overrated.

    He is one of the greats. And for some reason when hes quiet people today, present day, hate on him. but when he drops an album, people always check it and love it, then they pick it a part and say they dont like it.

    I actually can't come in this section anymore. All it is is bitter stans who now don't even post discussion points they just post 'proof' Eminem is the best because no one listened to their horseshit posts that derailed another thread.     Typical Stan mentality when someone says they don't listen to Eminem
    "Well that's ok man everyone has opinions but Eminem is the best and your just a hater loser lol, you know you'll check his album when it drops man"
