Jan 2, 2016 looking around the net..it seems the majority of people thinking the album will s--- i was very optimistic but after hearing his new song..it obvious he is now gonna try to copy Future..i know people can say "it was made in one day" or whatever..but im very worried if he takes that approach which will not work for him thoughts??
Jan 2, 2016 Wolves, Only One and All Day aren't bad songs. Plus I'm convinced that the other track was a throwaway so I'm still optimistic.
Jan 2, 2016 its not a throwaway..i hate when people use that word its a new made song..he went to the studio and made it...and the song was utter trash...like that other utter trash song he made the other day..the one with numbers other than wolves and maybe one day..this is the scariest lead up to a Kanye album ever
Jan 2, 2016 has kanye put out a bad album yet? i mean yeezus was weird but it still was dope have faith koo loo
Jan 2, 2016 If "Facts" is the next single along with All Day and Wolves then SWISH may s--- badly.... We'll find out within the next couple months ...Charlemagne prob been having Ye redo a few songs to his liking lol
Jan 2, 2016 Not gonna happen. Facts is nothing like the album whatsoever, we've heard at least 5-6 tracks from what the new album is like (Wolves, Fade, I Feel Like That, new version of Midas Touch, All Day, Can U Be, etc.) and there's no trace of him trying to be Future. It's gonna be another classic album from Ye which will be polarizing at first but incredible in years to come. Right now, it's the same old "this-album-gonna-s----based-off-one-single" type s--- and FACTS ISN'T EVEN A SINGLE. HE WENT INTO THE STUDIO LAST WEEK AND JUST SAID SOME s--- AND GAVE IT TO US FOR FREE.
Jan 2, 2016 @BigCountry had a good post about this... i think @WPG too but im not sure but whats the direction here exactly? all songs sound different and the majority of them s---..so how can you say "its nothing like the album" when the album doesnt seem to have a defined voice
Jan 2, 2016 Kanye lost his mind long ago. His ego over-took during Yeezus sessions and he's been high on his own farts ever since. I'll check the album out. I'd love to hear him come down to earth just a little bit and make great music again.
Jan 2, 2016 Facts is meh. No need to make excuses for that. If the album is as good as All day/Wolves I still think it can be great but I have a feeling this album is gonna be average
Jan 2, 2016 it seems like his pulling different styles and sounds from current music and his past albums (808's, Yeezus, maybe some MBDTF) and craft tracks out of them. Wolves, IFLT & Fade are kind of similar sounding, dark, auto-tuned, melodic. All Day, Can U Be & Midas all are upbeat and have a similar groove, I feel as if there's gonna be no middle ground on this album and we're either getting turn up s--- or smooth s---.
Jan 2, 2016 All Day was pretty nice, nothing mindblowing but good enough Seeing as Rick Rubin cut out 6 tracks from Yeezus and asked Kanye to save them for his next album, I hope the sound direction of the album will be more different from Yeezus than what we've heard so far. Ever since Kanye cut away from his College Trilogy, one of his main strengths has been exciting and innovative sound directions and I really hope that doesn't end here. Then again Kanye is too much of a perfectionist for the album to be bad. No matter how long it's gonna take, no matter how many producers and engineers he's gonna get in the studio to help with mixing and mastering, he's definitely gonna come with something that's worthwhile. -- I don't think he will ever top 808s & Heartbreak though
Jan 2, 2016 he's not copying Future at all? He worked with Southside and Metro on ONE TRACK? He released ONE TRACK with the Drake Jumpman flow? Is that it? You're saying Wolves is copying Future? Fade? Even All Day? I seriously don't understand what you mean.
Jan 2, 2016 Kanye literally popularized the use of autotune in hip hop more than anyone else with 808s & Heartbreak. This is like saying Juicy J is copying Atlanta by doing trap music.
Jan 2, 2016 How? No disrespect but what you're saying is kind of ridiculous... it seems like you're judging him of Facts and Facts only. Please elaborate on how he's "copying Future" on any other material he's created in the past 2 years. I'm really curious.
Jan 2, 2016 Then what else? The subject matter they have in common for tapes like Monster was influenced by Kanye in the first place. And I really doubt Kanye started to rap about lean and crack dealing in lil mexico Future's flow and cadencing has been used before him, so Kanye definitely didn't copy that. Kanye also did triplets only verse on Mercy which was recorded in 2011, while Future's first use of a full triplet verse is I'm Tripping off of Pluto. (Recorded around the same time)
