Jan 6, 2016 If I had to pick one, I'd probably go with David Lynch. Even with a rather small feature filmography, he has more of my favorite films than any director. Plus with their mysterious atmosphere and ambiguity, I could rewatch his films over and over.
Jan 7, 2016 Sentimentally, Linklater or PTA. Malick, Trier & Wilder have all captivated me pretty deeply as of late.
Jan 7, 2016 It's easily his most confounding and difficult work, even more so than Mulholland Dr., Lost Highway or even Eraserhead (Plus it's 3 hours). With that said, it's definitely a unique experience and a worthwhile one imo with some of the most chilling moments of his career, along with an incredible performance from Laura Dern. I have the DVD, so it's long overdue for a rewatch from me.
Jan 7, 2016 i gotta go with scorsese because i enjoy pretty much every film hes directed, and departed might be my favorite film of all time, its hard to say what my favorite movie is though because i enjoy so many of them so much.
