Jan 22, 2016 Sooo.... Eminems best songs on his albums are usually the ones with actual content and not just the guy spitting random s---. The older he has gotten the more and more he has become a recluse and the more he has stayed away from the spotlight. Back in the day deep/dark eminem songs were songs like The Way I Am, Cleaning Out my Closet, No Apologies, When i'm Gone ect.. these are loaded with actual content. Fast forward to Recovery/Relapse.. He had actual subject matter(where he wasn't fabricating stories) for songs like Talking 2 Myself, GTC, Deja Vu, Beautiful, You're Never Over, 25 To Life & Not Afraid (To an extent) Then MMLP2 where his "I really dont have that much s--- to talk about stage" kicked in. Bad Guys second part was great and talked about fame ect. Headlights was closure to his mother a------ was kinda a reflection on his career Legacy was a reflection on his childhood and growing up... Now what We dont really know enough about Ems personal life for him to make us connect to something he creates. Since MMLP2 hes made songs like GoF and Fine Line which kinda talk about something (Fame). Em has admitted hes kinda recycling the same format now with the motivational s---. Can we really expect an LP with songs that are just recycled motivational s--- and him bitching about fame with the occasionally punchline fun song? just imagine if KnD was a lead single.. keep that... Hes touched on.. His kids Love for kim still Drug addiction Proof Depression Mom Childhood Impact On Rap on a godawful beat/hook Not having s--- to talk about Fame Dad The Way I Am (Entire song is self explanatory) Relapse & Encore sucking Overcoming Drugs... i cant think of anything else he can do to sound fresh
Jan 22, 2016 No Apologies is so overrated considering half that song were old freestyle verses. He should make a song about having nothing to talk about. I think he already did that though lol
Jan 22, 2016 Most of the song was recorded before the freestyle Was supposed to close The Eminem Show
Jan 22, 2016 On topic - personally, I think he'll use this project as one last winning lap to clear his mind
Jan 22, 2016 Makes sense, wasn't Stimulate supposed to be on there too. One of his best songs ever in my opinion, and blends perfectly with the atmosphere of the album.
Jan 22, 2016 Stimulate got replaced with say goodbye to hollywood Personally, I don't have too many complaints about that We got another classic song
Jan 22, 2016 It's certainly a million times better than drips But when listening to the album straight through, is the transition good?
Jan 22, 2016 I think that's one of his most underrated tracks. On topic, I think he still has what it takes to make great concept tracks, cause Recovery was filled with them. I'd like to see him make more attempts at story telling, which he was low key fantastic at earlier in his career. I say he makes a collaboration album since he's pretty good at killing it when there's competition on the track lol
Jan 22, 2016 Another thing to note about recovery was the execution I think everybody can safely agree that disregarding the yelling - this is the best we've gotten since The Eminem Show Wouldn't be surprised if he realizes this and transitions to a similar style for the new album
Jan 22, 2016 yeah i think so like Say Goodbye to hollywood which is where he talks about leaving hollywood. "Please dont cry for me when im gone for good..." fades into pshht hey listen... "I love my job" makes him seem like a hypocrite and then in Stimulate he goes on how he loves rap and hes here to be the entertainer then it goes into Without Me and sets the album back on track.. if this makes any sense
Jan 22, 2016 The only good production hes been on recently was The Hills and that aint even his song lmao
