    Saw the advanced premiere a week ago. It was good enough to make me want to see the next episode. Nice to see some *Wire* alumni in this (Omar, Bodie). Dig the fact that it's based in NYC, particularly Queens. John Turturro gives it that NYC authenticity imo.

    James Gandolfini was working on this series before he died. I really liked this episode, really great. Can this be the Drama HBO need ?

    series actually looks like it could lead off into a classic. I loved the pilot.

    they did some cool advertising in the nyc subways with john turturro. going to give this a go after all of the episodes have aired

    I saw the ad on the subway and thought to myself, "That lawyer really looks like John Turturro." Took me a sec...

    The first episode was pretty cool...very detail-oriented in it its approach with a focus on the minutiae of the police work and the investigation. Will keep watching.

    agreed. Great Television Dramas are in a bit of a lull right now imo. Obviously with Richard Price's stamp, this feels more like the Wire than merely an elevated Law & Order episode. Also has a Show Me a Hero vibe

    Man, i don't think the lawyer has the kids best interest at heart. But I can also see where he's coming from. Rule #1 of being a lawyer is tell your client to not talk to the prosecution. But it seemed like the detective actually wanted to help the kid. He decided to call the DA only when the kid said no more.

    Good show so far.

    It's implied that this lawyer doesn't have much respect and probably doesn't have much success. This case could be the turning point for him ("right place, right time").

    No, I get that. But I kind of took that as him being more into it for self gain. Obviously he wants to win but the first advice he gave may have inadvertently cost the kid a possible shred of doubt with the prosecution.
    I just don't know how I feel about the lawyer yet, that's all.

    Watched the 2nd episode (at last). This show is going to be one of the best this year.

    The lawyer is going to be the center of events not Naz I think.
