Feb 15, 2015 I think Eminem was a better rapper during MMLP -- just sounded more sharp. And I like that style better. TES could arguably be the better album but I don't think it's that clear cut. I don't even think you can take SSLP out of the discussion. They each have their flaws, and are three somewhat distinct styles.

Feb 15, 2015 I gravitate more towards TES mostly because of the themes & content. It has a lot of my favorite Em tracks like Sing For The Moment, Saying Goodbye To Hollywood & Till I Collapse. But MMLP has more highs and shows some of his finest artistic/lyricist moments. MMLP for me.
Feb 15, 2015 MMLP is better for me. Its a close one but if i compare the two songs i hate, drips and amityville, it makes my decision easy.
Feb 15, 2015 I used to think the same and TES was my favourite for a long time (I still have my cd), but I've started to appreciate the not-so-polished MMLP more. The sequence of the songs in both albums is kinda random imo, as he jumps from one topic to the other like someone put the songs in shuffle and then added skits. This "craziness" works better for MMLP (and SSLP) I think. They both have a couple of bad songs (The Real Slim Shady and Kim, especially this one is unlistenable for me, and Say What You Say and Obie's part on Drips for TES) but the rest of the songs are all above average. My favourite songs are from TES (Sing For The Moment, Till I Collapse>>) but I'd rather listen to MMLP nowadays.
Feb 15, 2015 mmlp felt more underground and a had a more gritty feel and i like the production more but i think tes is has a better concept/better song topics but i think mmlp has more replay value so i have to go with that

MMLP: k--- You, Stan, Who Knew, The Way I Am, The Real Slim Shady, I'm Back, & Marshall Mathers The Eminem Show: White America, Business, Square Dance, Soldier, Say Goodbye to Hollywood, Sing for the Moment, Halie's Song, Till I Collapse, and My Dad's Gone Crazy In the past I think I liked MMLP better but today I lean slightly towards The Eminem Show
