Buonjourno. In this edition of Rank 'Em we'll be taking a look at an actor for a change. Brad Pitt. despite being famous the world over, has tried his hand at challenging roles throughout his career. From arthouse films to blockbusters, from tricky accents to extreme special effects, from foreign directors to franchise movies, he's done it all. With that said, what have you seen and how would you rank them? Feel free to chop it down to a top 5-10.

    5. Seven - A grounded role compared to the others, but he has his idiosyncracies.
    4. Inglourious Basterds - Campy, comical and indulgent badass.
    3. Snatch - Such a unique little role. His accent is on point.
    2. The Assassination of Jesse James... - He breathes life into a mythologized character.
    1. Fight Club - Such an iconic role. I don't know if it would have worked with anyone else.

True Romance is my favorite film he's been in, and while he's hilarious, he's in two scenes.

i can't due this in good conscience because i've never seen Jesse James. i would probably have his Basterds performance first among those i've seen, because very few actors can move so fluidly between being part of the kitsch and commenting on it.

I'll rank them in terms of his performance in them rather than my ordering of the films themselves.

    1. The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
    2. The Tree of Life
    3. Burn After Reading
    4. Inglorious Basterds
    5. Fight Club

I'm talkin bout his performance, I don't think the ending itself is bad but his delivery is cringe-worthy. I think the performance as a whole is just not good, and I'm not tryna diss cause I love Brad, he's among my favorite actors.

His character's a "god and baseball" type of guy whose wife just got decapitated. John Doe knew he could crack him. His delivery is not your run of the mill tragic hero type of thing, but it's pretty feral and contrasts nicely with his normal calm. That scene is a meme, but I don't think it's particularly bad.

I loved him in Snatch. His pikey accent reminds me of how my born-and-raised-Newfoundland relatives speak.

    "d'ya like dags?"

to be fair I think this is a very hard scene to pull off. So many emotions and I feel the portrayal was accurate for such an unexpected situation, for the character that is.
