I only watched It Follows, but it was one h--- of a movie.

So simple plot, but so effective!

As far as worst, I haven't seen anything too egregious, but I really didn't like Jurassic World.

Like @Pinhead I too think it's been really strong so far. I'm mostly looking forward to any of the Cannes stuff that gets a release this year...Carol, The Assassin, Cemetery of Splendor, and The Lobster. Also looking forward to Jafar Panahi's Berlin winner Taxi.

Ashamed to say that I still haven't seen Mad Max: Fury Road. But the best is either It Follows or Inside Out. Ex Machina was great as well. And I think I'm much more positive about Age of Ultron than most people were.

I'm not going by U.S. release dates btw. A lot of the films on Pinhead and Twan's lists would make my 2014 list like Timbuktu, Girlhood, Phoenix & Jauja.

even though i loved it, i do think fury roads overrated as a whole (kinda in the same way gravity was, imo)

either way, out of what I've seen (which isnt much) Ex Machina is by faaar my favorite. So f---ing gooooooood

Inherent Vice really deserves a rewatch before I form any real opinions

it didnt sit well with me. it was a unique experience watching it in theaters, but so was interstellar and I like the latter way more.

And I know most people liked Sandra Bullock's performance but I wasn't a big fan.

Either way, the comparison was just because the're both movies that are easy to marvel at cause of their production value (and directing, obviously) but neither plots did anything for me.
