I was searching on this section and i was surprised to see that nobody had created this thread.

Discuss your favorite Eminem album here!

My personal choice: The Eminem Show.

PD: The poll would only got Eminem's solo material. Records like Shady XV or the Re-Up doesn't count.

I think TES is his overall best album but Recovery is my personal favorite. It might be his most personal, emotional album and that's the style of music I enjoy the most from him. I also loved the fact that he acknowledged he fell off and with Recovery he reclaimed his spot and became relevant again. It's the ultimate comeback album.

SSLP is one of the 3 albums that made me a fan of rap. So many classic moments on that album. Aside from those 3, the only solo album I like from him is Recovery though.

SSLP slightly over MMLP, although both are nearly flawless.

TES 3rd in my opinion. Missing some of the raw emotion of the first two. And f--- Drips.

This, except I was already a fan of hip hop prior to Eminem. SSLP made me a fan of him though.

I remember hearing about Eminem prior to SSLP, but I didn't know what he looked like, or who he was. I remember when My Name Is came out, I thought he was like a gimmick of NSYNC or something. Then my friends told me to check out SSLP, and said it was amazing, and it was.

It's easily his most creative album. He didn't have to "rap about himself" the whole album for it to be extremely entertaining. It was great story telling.

I know it hasn't aged well like TES. His delivery wasn't really the greatest either, I didn't like the nasally sound. MMLP/TES had his best delivery. However, I remember the first time listening to this album, and I legit couldn't wait to hear the next song, because of how off the wall the album was. MMLP was a similar feel too, but much darker.

People are so used to his immature humor now, that it really takes away from how great this album was at the time. Songs like Guilty Conscience, 97 Bonnie and Clyde, My Fault, As The World Turns were so out of the norm for hip hop. All but one of those songs had NOTHING to do with his personal life either.

I would have to say the sslp is my favorite Eminem album. I still listen to I still don't give a f---, just don't give a f---, As The World Turns, pretty much all the the songs. I can actually listen to the entire sslp album without skipping any tracks which means the album aged the best to me. I just wish I was older at the time the album was released so I could have grew up listening to Eminem when he first reached his prime.

I could see TES winning this poll, but the album hasn't aged the best for me. I could only listen to a handful of songs from that album and definitely couldn't listen to the album all the way through in 2014.

Agree with a lot of that post @Fitz I also like how the mmlp gave off a much darker vibe. It's crazy how much his voice, style changed from the sslp to the mmlp.

I was in middle school when SSLP came out, and at the time, the only real "funny" rapper was Redman.

DMX, Wu Tang, Mase, Diddy, Jay Z, Nas, Pac, Biggie, Red/m---, Canibus, LL and a few others flooded hip hop in my middle school years, but Eminem was so different. SSLP was a fun album, yet it was so dark. It was such a different listening experience than what I was used to at the time.

MMLP followed that too, but in a different way. I thought SSLP was more entertaining and unpredictable, which is saying a lot because MMLP is just as unpredictable.

When I listened to Eminem Show, I thought Eminem lost a lot of his edge, and was beginning to fall off. I liked the album, but it just didn't have the same feel as SSLP/MMLP.

That would have been the s--- listening to rap at the time.period. I look at other albums released when the sslp was an I recognized how much different the sslp must have sounded. It seems like it would have been a lot more fresh too.

When you first heard my name is @Fitz , did you believe Eminem was going to be a one hit wonder or did you know he was going to be huge? Were a lot of white middle school kids dying their hair blonde when the album started blowing up lol? It's crazy how much influence eminem had on kids back then.

Looking at elementary kids these days though thinking holy s--- when I was that young I can't believe I was bumping k--- you and kim. I mean, you probably wouldn't want your kids listening to that type of music in elementary when you really think about it haha.

When I heard My Name Is?

It's hard for me, because I wasn't sold on Eminem at the time. I wasn't watching TRL, I was watching MTV Jams with Bill Bellamy or Hits or Rap City on BET lol. I viewed Eminem as a pop artist when I FIRST heard My Name Is, and didn't give him much attention. Then my friends convinced me to listen to SSLP and I was a fan then.

Honestly, no one in my middle school dyed their hair lol. My middle school and high school were urban, so I don't know.

I think Eminem really gained a ton of fans from The Chronic though. People loved Forgot About Dre and What's The Difference.

If people can imagine, Eminem wasn't the biggest rapper during SSLP or even The Chronic. DMX and Jay Z were probably the biggest rappers at the time.

It wasn't until MMLP that Eminem was in the forefront of rap.
