to me, eminem isnt going anywhere

relapse to recovery was an obvious improvement...bme was a downtrend...then mmlp2 was improvement but not to recovery level...then we got the s--- after mmlp2 which was yet another wrong direction

now we got kings never die which is obvious improvement

so in general...do you feel Eminem got better or worse since relapse?

Recovery was definitely his highest point post-hiatus, i think we can see flashes of improvements in some songs but he has to gather it all to one album to say he has really improved

It seems like with Recovery we had some consistent solid tracks and the overall theme and execution was a success

I think since then there really hasn't been a theme or direction and it seems like Eminem has steered so far from content and storytelling he's lost parts of himself and one of his most successful factors

There are glimpses of potential with GOF and KND but unfortunately there has been some really subpar tracks as well

He is just consistently average... a few good/great songs mixed with average/bad songs. The dumbest thing is, on every average/bad album he shows he still CAN make great songs, why not do it a full album? Since mmlp2 fine line gof and knd are the only songs worth mentioning (untill now) which is a step back imo

Recovery was his peak after hiatus. I love MMLP2 but it doesn't have that replay value that recovery has. Or even relapse has.

Kings Never Die is great. I would definitely compare it to some of recoverys good tracks and would put it in perhaps a top 10 since his comeback. Ughngg that second verse >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

He's simply surrounded by the wrong people telling him what songs are good and what songs are bad.

Take stronger than I was from MMLP2 for example. I can almost guarantee that Paul suggested putting it on because teenagers would "eat that s--- up"

I bet there are amazing post hiatus tracks in the vault...

hes deff worse. Songs like right for me and die alone are worse than fack. that being said kings never die is easily one of the most enjoyable songs em has made. ever.

In general I feel like talking about him is detrimental, a waste of time, and that his section should be deleted

Up trend. On Relapse he was using accents to get away with incoherent lines and forced multi's.

On Recovery it was cringe punchline after cringe punchline being screamed into my headphones over a poppy beat albeit the substance was decent.

These days, especially his material from Shady XV to now, his lyricism has improved tremendously and if he would use less busy production and find a decent engineer to mix his records so I can actually f---ing hear him I'd be very, very pleased.
